21st July Moon-Landing Flashmob 18:00 MEZ

It's forty years since man landed on the Moon, and I think it's well-worth celebrating. Unbeknownst to many, there is a commemorative column right in the middle of Cologne Altstadt, called the "Schmitz Säule".

The moon landings are a tremendous monument to just what we can do when we work together and put our minds to something : that man reached the moon only 8 years after the first man in space is incredible : that it was done only 66 years after the first powered flight is amazing.

So, I hope you'll all come and join me around the Schmitz Säule (map) at around 6pm on Tuesday 21st July, and bring a "teelicht". There's a Kneipe nearby, so we can all have a drink to celebrate.

More details (and a rather long-winded explanation) on
